OX Additive colour mixing
ThreeColorsThe most exiting experiment with light are the mixing of the fundamental colours. For this purpose three LEDs, one for red (11), one for green (12) and one for blue (13) are provided. Each LED has its own controller (9) so that the intensity of each LED can be controlled independently.
In front of each LED a slide (7) with a grey structure is placed and imaged to the white screen (16). When the images are perfectly aligned to each other the image becomes impressively coloured.
OX Subtractive colour filtering and spectral analysis
This experiment uses a white light LED (10) which radiation is collimated by the lens (2). By means of the dichroic mirrors (3, 4, 5) different colours are removed from the white light resulting in a coloured one.
The composition of this colour is analysed by means of a grating (8) which is placed in front of the white screen (16).
